Volunteering

Volunteers are alumni, extended family members, and community members. From elementary to high school, we value the time and special talents of volunteers and welcome them into our family!

We welcome our community to bring their skills, expertise and helping hands into our school! Volunteers play a pivotal role in student success. While Volunteers do not assume the responsibilities of school staff, they can help tutor, read, chaperone, and do other similar activities in the classroom and on campus.

In addition to helping teachers, we also have volunteers who help coaches, library staff, office staff, and after school clubs. If you have a particular skill or expertise, mentoring a group of students with similar interests or abilities can provide an opportunity for you to do something you love while passing on your knowledge to the next generation.

Parent Teacher Association (PTA)

Joining the middle school PTA is a great way to stay connected with your child’s school environment as they navigate their early teen years.

We know many of you have been involved throughout elementary school. Don’t stop now! We meet at least once a month and do many things that benefit the school, teachers, and students. Join us at one of our meetings. When you’re ready to volunteer, no matter the size of the task, we always need more people who want to help. Email us to get started!

School Accountability Committee (SAC)

The School Accountability Committee (SAC) meets to discuss and review the direction of the school. Each year, we hold multiple meetings for members of the community to come and hear information about our school and ask any questions they may have.  The SAC members work alongside the District Accountability Committee, which oversees accreditation, site planning, and budgets. Parents and community members are invited to join SAC to provide open and honest feedback and participate in discussions.

Our scheduled meeting dates are as follows:

  • September 3rd

  • October 23rd

  • December 11th

  • January 28th

  • March 18th

  • April 30th

Meetings will be held after school in the Discovery Room and will typically run from 3:30-4:30pm.

If you want to join the School Accountability Committee, please email Daniel Hinkin.
