As a School of Innovative Learning and Technology, Challenger has delivered progressive core learning via iPads for more than a decade. Teachers create all lessons and leverage tablets, instead of relying on textbooks and cookie cutter learning.
More than a Platform
iPads are the technology, but the curiosity and passion comes from Challenger students. Tablets are used for virtual field trips to Civil War sites and broadcast journalism class, for example. Students are encouraged to share their creativity by publishing their own works for peers, faculty and family to view.
Challenger Learning Model
Walk the halls and see the difference. Students bloom with positivity under the Challenger Learning Model. Academics are taught in an environment that builds social skills and behaviors. Students learn trustworthiness, responsibility, respect, caring, citizenship and fairness.
Comprehensive Learning
Known for academic excellence, Challenger’s curriculum is unique instruction provided by caring teachers in a smaller school environment. Language arts, social studies, science and math are brought to life through technology and a variety of electives, exploratories, clubs and intramural programs.
Support Systems
Because expectations are high for students, Challenger faculty team up to prevent any student from falling through the cracks. Multiple supports are available to all students. A Learning Lab, honors tutors, reading specialists, special ed resources and active counselors are some support examples.
