Donald Spano

I was born and grew up in the shadows of Logan International Airport, Boston, Massachusetts.  I attended the old public high school in the United States, Boston English High School.  I went on to earn a B.S. in Mathematics, with minors in Earth Science/Geology and Geography from Boston State College (now part of University of Massachusetts - Boston) in 1972 and an M.Ed. (Secondary Education) in 1975, also from Boston State College.  As a retired Air Force Officer, my most memorable assignments include: communications squadron commander in Italy, chief of communications maintenance, and finally, assistant professor of Geography at the United States Air Force Academy.  Throughout my military and civilian life, my travels have taken me to all 50 states, nearly all the countries of Western Europe, Turkey, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Japan and China.  I am an avid sports fan (some more than others) and since 1963 a devout Green Bay Packer booster.
