Welcome to Drama
I was born in Lincoln, Nebraska but spent my childhood in the Rye/Pueblo areas of Colorado. I have been involved in theater since my 4-H days in elementary school in Rye and high school in Pueblo. While in college I went on a Pre-Columbian art tour to Mexico and a backpacking trip throughout Europe. This ignited the travel bug in me and I've been travelling ever since. After college, I accepted a teaching job in Melbourne, Australia where I lived and taught for 26 years. Throughout that time I travelled around Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia, Fiji, Tahiti, Morocco, South America, and India. I returned to Colorado to live and teach in 2002. I figured it was time, as an adult, to experience my country of origin.
I earned a B.A. in English/History with a minor in Political Science from the University of Southern Colorado and then went on to get a degree in Drama in Education from the University of Melbourne in Australia and a degree in Media Studies from Deakin University in Australia. I also have a master's degree in Adult Education and Training with a focus on teaching creativity. I taught high school English for the first half of my career and I've been teaching drama/theater to middle and high school students during the second half of my career. I love to experience the creativity of my students!!!
